A Perfect Summer Day at Heart Lake Conservation Park in Brampton – Family Fun with Toddlers
Share
If you’re looking for fun, affordable, and family-friendly summer activities in Brampton, let me tell you about our recent visit to Heart Lake Conservation Park. It’s the kind of place that makes parenting feel just a little easier—fresh air, wide open spaces, and activities for all ages, especially toddlers.
As a mom of three and co-founder of GoGo Tots, I’m always scouting out places where my little ones can explore, splash, and burn off energy—while I stay sane. Heart Lake Conservation Park was exactly that kind of day.
Top 5 Things to Do at Heart Lake Conservation Park with Young Kids
1. Splash Pad Fun for Toddlers
We started our day at the splash pad, and it was a hit! It’s clean, safe, and sized just right for toddlers to run around without getting overwhelmed. Watching my kids giggle under the spray while I chilled in the shade with the baby was such a win.
Mom Tip: I clipped our bags and water bottles to the stroller using our GoGo Tots stroller straps, and helped us to stay way more organized.
2. Easy Nature Walks for Little Feet
The park has stroller-friendly trails that loop around the lake and through the trees. We took a short walk and spotted ducks, birds, butterflies, and even a chipmunk. It’s the perfect intro to hiking for young kids.
3. Picnic with a View
We packed a simple lunch—sandwiches, fruit, and snacks—and found a shaded spot by the lake. The breeze was lovely, the kids were happy, and we got to enjoy a rare peaceful moment as a family.
Pro Tip: The GoGo Tots stroller straps are amazing for clipping on lunch bags.
4. Playground Fun
There’s a great playground near the splash pad where the kids got to climb, swing, and slide before naptime hit. It’s just the right size for toddlers, and it gave us a chance to pack up slowly while they played.
5. Just the Right Vibe
What I loved most about Heart Lake Conservation Park is how calm and family-friendly it is. You’re surrounded by nature, but it’s not too wild. The park has proper washrooms, parking, and space to breathe.
It’s one of the best toddler-friendly day trips in Brampton, hands down.
What to Pack for Heart Lake Conservation Park:
